Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert – CCIE – is the Cisco’s highest level certifications. Overview: CCIE Certification identifies the upper echelon of networking experts worldwide. CCIE certification is attained in five technical specialties referred to as tracks: Routing and Switching, Security, Service Provider, Storage Networking and Voice. CCIE certified professionals are an elite group; there are less than 13,000 around the world today. Less than 3% of Cisco certified professionals become CCIE. It’s the most desirable certification by the networking professionals. And it’s worth! Pre-requisite: There are no formal prerequisites for CCIE certification. Other professional certifications or training courses are not required. Instead, candidates must first pass a written qualification exam and then the corresponding hands-on lab exam. You are expected to have an in-depth understanding of the topics in the exam blueprints and strongly encouraged to have three to five years of job experience before attempting certification. The CCNA Routing and Switching validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks.

Overview:

The Cisco CCNA R&S certification validates the ability to install, operate, configure, and verify a basic IPv4 and IPv6 network. In this course you will focus on configuring a LAN switch, configuring an IP router, identifying basic security threats, understanding redundant topologies, troubleshooting common network issues, connecting to a wide-area network (WAN), configuring EIGRP and OSPF in both IPv4 and IPv6, understanding WAN technologies, and getting familiar with device management and Cisco licensing.

Pre-requisite:

  • Basic computer literacy
  • Basic PC operating system navigation skills
  • Basic Internet usage skills
  • Basic IP address knowledge
