All students will be provided with URL information, to link to the Zoom class that they have signed up for, the required lab facilities, and a toll free number for completely integrated audio.
ASM’s One-Week Summer IT Camp, offers an engaging and practical introduction to the world of Information Technology for students ages 15–18. Held daily from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the camp combines hands-on activities, interactive discussions, and mini-labs to explore key topics in Networking, Cybersecurity, and Amazon AWS Cloud. Students will build and troubleshoot networks, secure wireless systems, and work directly in the AWS cloud environment—all culminating in a team project that integrates the week’s lessons into a real-world IT solution. With expert guidance, fun labs, and career exploration.
What age group is this IT summer camp for?
ASM’s One-Week Summer IT Camp is designed for students ages 15–18 who are interested in learning more about Information Technology, Networking, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Computing.
What topics are covered in the camp?
Students are introduced to key IT topics, including computer networking, cybersecurity basics, wireless security, troubleshooting, and Amazon AWS Cloud. The camp is designed to give students a practical look at real IT concepts.
Do students need previous IT experience?
No advanced experience is required. This camp is built as an introduction to IT, so students can join even if they are still exploring whether technology is the right path for them.
How long is the camp?
The camp runs for one week, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Each scheduled session is its own 5-day camp.
Is this a lecture-only class?
No. The camp includes hands-on activities, interactive discussions, and mini-labs so students can apply what they learn instead of only listening to lectures.
Will students work with real IT tools?
Yes. Students will explore practical IT tasks such as building and troubleshooting networks, learning how wireless systems are secured, and working in a cloud environment through AWS-related activities.
Is there a final project?
Yes. Students complete a team project that brings together the week’s lessons into a real-world-style IT solution. This helps them practice teamwork, problem solving, and technical thinking.
